This seductively ripe, characterful white is an intoxicating blend of local speciality grapes Macabeo and Malvasia. Rich and rewarding, it’s an intriguing alternative to the whites of the Rhône Valley or oak fermented Chardonnays – better value too.

The Wine
Here’s a wine that caused a stir in the tasting room when it first appeared. The care lavished on this delightful Spanish white would put many a Burgundian winemaker to shame. All the fruit is hand picked and it’s all fermented in new French oak barrels prior to four months’ lees ageing for even greater complexity and depth of flavour. Serious stuff, so try serving with richly sauced chicken or seafood.
