The Wine
Domaine Génot Boulanger was founded in 1974 by Parisian pharmacist Charles-Henri Génot and his wife, Marie, when they started exploring the terroir and purchasing parcels along the Côte d’Or. Today the estate is run by fourth generation vignerons Guillaume and Aude Lavollée. All wines are produced from vineyards owned by the domaine across 30 appellations, including three Grands Crus and 13 Premiers Crus. They are in the process of converting to organic and biodynamic farming, using no chemical herbicides and, where possible, horses to work the soil. This fine wine comes from vines immediately downhill from Premier Cru vineyard Le Reflets. Quality is extremely high. Enjoy with corn-fed chicken, spatchcock poussin, or veal in white wine.
