The Wine
Gewurztraminer, the great grape of Alsace, is right at home in the glorious Marlborough climate. Hunter’s Gewurz is rich, zesty and just off-dry, with passion fruit, lychee and rose petal aromas. As delicious on its own as with curries or stir-fries. Just 30 years ago Marlborough was known only for barley and sheep. The success story of this remote wine region is one of the most remarkable in modern times, and one in which Hunter’s can justly claim to have played a major part. Raise a glass then to Jane Hunter, not only a highly trained viticulturist with a string of accolades for her work (including a ‘UK Women in Wine Award’) but an OBE and, most recently, Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM) for services to viticulture.

"All the varietal character you’d expect, but with an edge of freshness that sets it apart. Amazing"
